Nick helps drive A LINE’s strategic offering, client relationships and business operations. Prior to co-founding the business he has spent the last 18 years working globally across brand, design, marketing, technology and product.

James Trump
Co-founder & Creative Director 

With 14 years experience creating iconic, award winning work for brands such Google, Facebook, Sony, Samsung, Apple, Netflix, Uber and Zagat, James is responsible for A LINE’s creative vision and development.

Previously the Creative Director of branding and design at Sony, he was responsible for directing the brand across North America and Europe. Prior to that he held design lead positions at some of the worlds best design agencies.

All in the accents

In an increasingly competitive translation market, Sinovo wanted to position themselves as leaders in their native Swedish market. To support this we reinvented their brand identity and communications strategy using a concept inspired by international accent marks and diacritics. This playful, dialogue-inspired identity captured their unique attributes and gave them an ownable market position.

A Future Heritage

We worked with legendary Japanese sneaker brand Asics on a campaign to celebrate their anniversary. The concept focused on the juxtaposition of their future focused aesthetic and Japanese Heritage, showcasing the upcoming collection with contrasting raw materials, including ancient Japanese black rock and petrified bamboo.

On March 21st we'll be speaking to members of The Luxury Marketing Council about turning data, trends and insights into effective strategy and design. In conjunction with Stephen Kraus, Chief of Insights at SimilarWeb, we’ll be exploring how data has changed the way marketing decisions are made, and how to translate the insights created into design that better connects brands and audiences.
